On feeling like a murderer

To Spirit:

Spirit,

Please help me. I have been dealing with an invasive species of insect, and my instructions on how to be normal in the dream are to destroy any of these insects that I can find in and around my home. I know that there is no dream character killing insects in reality. I know that nothing real can be threatened and nothing unreal exists. And yet I find myself feeling quite guilty and evil as I seem to be decimating life. I have been practicing asking for your help seeing this differently as I have been acting out the scene, but I notice that it is still weighing on my mind. Please help me to see this differently. Please help me remember that this too is happening for me and the good of all because all are One. Please help me forgive myself for what feels like cruel and murderous behavior.

Spirit, please help me.

Holy one,

This form has been troubling you, but it is no different than the rest. Your requests for help have not gone unanswered. Any time you call for me you can trust that my response is immediate. In reality the answer was given to you long ago, and as you express willingness you simply allow the answer to dawn on your split mind. Your willingness to notice that you are still bothered by this form has been received. Let me help you now.

The deepest darkest fear that the split mind holds is the fear that you are murderous at your core. The ego has come to the conclusion that you have murdered God, and it is this painful but false interpretation that you have then projected outward into seemingly infinite different forms. Your experience with the invasive insect is yet another form of this original content. Be grateful because you have an opportunity here to correct the original error and choose again.

As you choose again I get to remind you that you are not a murderer. As you choose again I help you by clearing some of the unconscious guilt you hold due to the original error in perception. As you choose again I gently whisper in your ear that you are created like Love itself. As you choose again you let these dreams deceive you not.

Remember that all things that seem to occur in the dream have been gently planned out by One Whose only purpose is your good. You have also been taught that there is no order of difficulty in miracles. If you allow yourself to continue to believe that this form is different than the rest, you refuse to loosen the grip you have on the ego’s interpretation. All that it takes to let this interpretation go is your willingness for it to be so.

You have seemed to murder and be murdered thousands of times in dreams. But dreams impact reality not. Be not deceived by the scenes that you dream up with the ego. Remember your practice and its universal application. Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.
